Welcome! Washtenaw Literacy's mission is to provide free literacy instruction customized to the needs of adults throughout Washtenaw County, utilizing a trained network of volunteer tutors. It is our vision to eliminate illiteracy in Washtenaw County. For over 40 years we have been empowering adults through improved literacy. Since our founding in 1971, we have served over 20,000 learners and trained and fully supported over 10,000 volunteer tutors. Learn more.

- It's time for Quarterly Updates (QU's) for Personal Tutors and Learners: Anyone participating in Personal Tutoring between July 1st - September 30th, 2014 must complete a QU before October 15th. The information you provide helps us better support you, allows us to plan for programming needs, and aids us with raising funds necessary to continue offering free tutoring throughout Washtenaw County.
- It's time for Bi-Annual Updates for Groups (BUG's): Anyone participating in groups as a tutor or a learner between May 1st and September 30th, 2014, please print and complete a BUG before October 31st. The information you provide helps us better support you, allows us to plan for programming needs, and aids us with raising funds necessary to continue offering free tutoring throughout Washtenaw County.
