Washtenaw Literacy’s

Lifelong Learning Breakfast

Literacy is the foundation of lifelong learning—and you can be a part of the story. Join us at our Lifelong Learning Breakfast on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the Washtenaw Golf Club.

Over a complimentary breakfast, guests will discover how continuous learning transforms lives, hear inspiring personal journeys from our adult learners, and see how financial and volunteer support drives our mission forward.

We are currently recruiting Sponsors and Table Captains to help champion this event. Join us to unlock the power of adult literacy, spark lifelong learning, and build a stronger, more equitable community.

Nicole Brown

We are pleased to welcome Ypsilanti Mayor Nicole Brown as this year’s keynote speaker. Mayor Brown will speak about the deep connection between literacy and opportunity, empowerment, and community strength.

Please RSVP by October 17 to help us with planning; if the RSVP link remains open after that date, please feel free to register, and walk-ins are welcome.

Are you interested in learning more about being a Table Captain? Table Captains go above and beyond by inviting additional people to the Lifelong Learning Breakfast. Click the button below to learn more, or send us an email.

The Lifelong Learning Breakfast was originally conceived as Support Literacy Now! and later the Lifelong Literacy Breakfast. We’ve now renamed the event to remind people that we’re all learning as we travel along this path together.
