Workshop: LIFT Updates & Materials

LIFT (Learning is a Family Thing) is a tutoring program for low-literate and low-income parents of pre-kindergarten children. It works directly with parents, often in their homes, to pursue two specific aims. The primary aim is to improve the literacy of the learner, based on their stated goals. The secondary aim is to help them learn developmentally appropriate literacy activities for their young children. LIFT tutoring does not require the tutor to be a parent, but it will generally require a once a week 2-hour commitment for 6 months.

 

This 1.5-hour discussion provides LIFT tutors the opportunity to discuss their concerns and needs thus far and to go over the materials available to them. You do not need to register to attend!
