Blair Kraft will be launching a Speakers’ Bureau and will kick it off with a workshop to train and inspire volunteers who would like to help spread the word about Washtenaw Literacy in the community. The opportunity to support literacy by speaking on the agency’s behalf is open to current and former learners, tutors, and volunteers. Blair will orient and train new ambassadors through a series of three workshops. Participants will learn more about the issue of illiteracy, success stories, addressing questions, and effective presentation for different audiences.

Once trained, teams of speakers will speak on the agency’s behalf at churches, schools, and other interested groups.

The first Speakers’ Workshop series is scheduled for September 14, 21 and October 5 from 6:30 to 9 PM at NEW Center, 1100 N main Ann Arbor.
