Agency aims to broaden community outreach and support in fight to end illiteracy

This year, for the first time in many years, the Washtenaw Literacy Annual Meeting and Appreciation Day will take place on the same date.

With Thanksgiving approaching, Washtenaw Literacy supporter Beth Dugdale took it upon herself to organize a cooking class for her husband’s ESL group.

Web development professionals looking to give back to the community and support literacy are sought to support Washtenaw Literacy’s new learner-friendly website.  Day to day updates are handled by staff, however, occasional higher level support is critically needed.  The volunteer service for the Web Support/Developer Volunteer is expected to take 3 to 5 hours per month.
